Huntable big game species include pronghorn antelope, black bears, bison, desert bighorn sheep, elk, javelina, Merriam turkeys, Gould's turkeys, mountain lions, mule deer, and Coues white-tailed deer.
No one under age 10 may hunt big game in Arizona. To hunt big game, anyone 10 to 13 years of age must have in their possession a valid combination hunt and fish license, a valid Hunter Education Course completion card, plus any required permit-tags or nonpermit-tags.
Hunting and fishing licenses are available for purchase online, at all Arizona Game and Fish Department offices, and at license dealers statewide. All licenses are valid 365 days from the date of purchase. |
